PS - One other thing I just noticed... When the ponytail spins around the face, it passes through. Is there a way to set a collision so the ponytail stops at and not passes through the head and neck?

The advantage of spring effect is that it allow a dynamic S Shape and bouncing movement during walking, if we use physics, all braids will become a unbundle long straight hair like headband is removed. But you could set the weight very low (i.e Very Dark weight map) to solve the problem. You could even use the weight map from my '2nd hair Gen - Hair 2' and apply to '2nd Gen Hair 2 - Hair 1. As my design allow to switch texture between each other products.

However, spring effect is very sensitive to movement, if your character move too fast, it is better to OFF the spring effect and then use 'MORPH Animator', or 'Edit Animation layer' and adjust the hair bone manually. The Force is enough to make animation, but little bit time consuming.

Alternatively, there is a more advanced method. You could use the below FREE plugin to make the controllable sprint effect.

For your second question. Collision is only activated by applying weight. Again, you could use my other product weight map to apply it.

Yes, the spring movement is why I got this. And yes, it is VERY sensitive. Maybe too sensitive. It moves quite fast even with slower movements.

Even just a slow walk will trail the tail.... and even slight movements will pass the tail through the face, neck and other areas of the body. At least with the movements I have tried with it.

I will look into the weight map thing and see if I can figure that out.
