Bigboss is extremely proud to announce the arrival of a series of amazing Plugins for iClone.
This is the EZ MultiMAT Tweeker iClone Plugin by Bigboss.
This plugin provides the capability to do bulk replacement of PBR shader textures and adjusting the diffuse, ambient and opacity sliders by material name for props. The texture buttons support both browsing to find files and drag & drop.
When you import assets from unity or other environments and split some parts into sub-props, you end up with numerous instances of the same materials. This is all good until you want to make a change whereby you need to edit each material attribute one by one even for mateiral having the same name.
This plugin allows you to perform the same change on all material having the same name.
A must have for all serious movie producers !!!
Installation procedure:
1) Download and Unzip pack
2) Copy "BB EZ MultiMAT Tweeker" folder to you iClone Bin64 OpenPlugin folder
e.g. C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 7\Bin64\OpenPlugin
3) Restart iClone
4) Under the Plugins TAB, locate "BB Plugins" menu item and invoke "BB EZ MultiMAT Tweeker" plugin
5) Add a prop to your scene, select a material name and use the plugin for making bulk replacement of textures on any PBR shader shannel
6) Also make bulk adjustments to the Diffuse, Ambient and/or Opacity channels for the selected material.
7) Optionally Dock your EZ MUltiMAT Panel to the right hand-side docking panel to free up your viewport.
IMPORTANT TECHNICAL NOTE:
When replacing textures on PBR channels, you actually create a new instance of the texture for each object that uses the same material. Once you are done with the changes, dont forget to press the "Auto-Link all object textures" button available from the Modify - Material List panel Toolbar.
Because the textures come from the same file, all changes will be linked to a single texture afterwards thus freeing up some precious graphical memory.
