This special bundle is a compilation of two new and unreleased packs: "Great War Trench" outfit and a special "American Red Cross" add-on.
After their entry into the war, the American army progressively replaced the fabric leggings to imitate those already used by the English and the French, the famous woolen "Puttees".
A double-breasted "trench-coat" almost similar to the French "capote poiret" also contributed to the comfort of the American infantryman engaged at the height of the fighting.
"American Red Cross" Add-On suitable on this special "Great War Trench pack" referred to above.
When the USA entered the war in the first world conflict, a shortage of warm clothing prompted the American Red Cross to make knitted wool clothing. Advertisements asked volunteers to design the clothing so that it could be used by soldiers sent to the front and suffering from a particularly harsh winter.
