Here is my tribute to the beautiful and inventive Hedy Lemarr. Some of you might know her for her beauty but I found out today that she was an inventor. Per Wikipedia
"At the beginning of World War II, with composer George Antheil, Lamarr developed spread spectrum and frequency hopping technology to defeat jamming of Allied radio communications by the Axis. Though the US Navy did not adopt the technology until the 1960s, the principles of her work are now incorporated into modern Wi-Fi, CDMA and Bluetooth technology, and this work led to her being inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2014."
She said she invented things to make up for the boring roles she was getting. If your not familiar with her name her most notable role was as Delilah in Cecil B. DeMille's Samson and Delilah .
