Update: Pack now includes 5 additional materials
Two pairs of mesh stockings with seams for your CC ladies. Based on the same mesh but differently shaded. Separate UV islands for heels, toes and arch areas.
Plus 5 materials (2 for Stockings A and 3 for Stockings B).
Stockings_A (pink stockings Regina is wearing on a banner image above): Only Opacity and Normal maps are used for shading.
Pros: Color of stockings is easy to change (diffuse color control in materials). Suited for female characters of any skin color.
Cons: On close shots a gap between legs and stockings might be noticeable.
Stockings_B (black stockings Kara is wearing on a banner image above): Diffuse, Opacity and Normal maps are used for shading (alpha is used mostly to trim and level mesh at the top)
Pros: Looks solid - no visible gap between legs and stockings. Renders better than type A.
Cons: Suited mostly for characters with normal/light body skin tone. You could play with diffuse color to change stockings B shade and match particular character skin tone. But for the best result editing of diffuse map might require (ask me for a diffuse .PSD map).
Other than that, there are infinite possibilities to create your own shading with base UV map.
Notes:
- Although a stockings mesh wrapped pretty much close around legs/feet, some shoes might require "confirming" and increasing the size by 1.
- Stockings come with subdivision ON "(Realtime Smooth"). If you uncheck it, then make sure to uncheck subdivision on avatar as well, otherwise a pocking through would occur.
