Fitting shoes tips
Note: This routine is good for ANY conformable shoes or cloth items you buy on marketplace and is current for CC v3.4
Shoes were made and fit on a default female avatar. It should conform on any avatar with "normal" feet size morph with acceptable quality.
RL conform routine, however, tends to deform the mesh while conforming. Sometimes to unacceptable level - specially on avatars converted from CC1 base.
If you are not satisfied with conforming (jittery or bent out of proportion edges) on shoes mesh, you may try to conform manually as following:
1. Fit shoes on a Default female avatar.
2. Go to Conform, click "Edit Range", uncheck "Ignore Back Faces", select all vertices and click "0" in "Quick Set"
3. Exit Conform and Save shoes as copy.
4. Load your custom avatar and apply a copy of saved, non-conformable shoes.
Shoes should fit without deformation. However you would most likely see occasional skin poke through, or shoe might be too big or too small.
DO NOT USE CONFORM!
Use Edit Mesh tools instead (move and/or sculpt) to fix those pokes through or unfit shoes size.
With little effort you should be able to fit the shoes manually and the result would be a lot more satisfactory than with RL automated Conform.
If you plan to morph your character further, then go back to "Conform" > "Edit Range", select All Vertices as before, but this time click "1" in "Quick set".
This would make shoes to conform while you are morphing feet of your avatar.
