So here we go with a FREEBIE! I know, I know, it's been a while (or is that "beam" a while...? yeah, no.)
Anyhoo, this is a bit of an experiment as I combined animating a prop as well as employing the usual AML script for the particle effects. All rolled up into one convenient Perform command!
This 10th incarnation of the Trek series's's's transporter beam is a vague version from the Lower Decks animated show (which I really enjoy!) - I know it's not nearly right, but it's inspired by it nonetheless.
As usual the AML script (actually, it's really a LUA script this time) is accessed via the right click menu and Perform command, "Beam Me Up!" (and the emitters are attached to the dummy props - notice the plural.)
For those that are interested, there are indeed two dummy props (one attached to the other) so I can animate (i.e.: move) two of the emitters during the effect. A little tricky to pull off (for me, 'cause I don't know what I'm doing) but I managed. I hope.
Anyway, did you like it? Does it work properly? Let me know!
