Update 3.28.2021: This plug-in now includes two python scripts.

1. BuildingCreator.py
This is the original, and it has windows, lighting and random lighting.

2. BuildingCreator2.py
This is a bonus that does not include Windows. I use this version mainly as a quick room creator. BuildingCreator2.py does not include windows.

These two python scripts makes it simple to create buildings of different sizes.

Instructions:
Extract the content of the zip file to your hard drive, and then run either python script by selecting the Load Python menu and browsing for the file (these instructions might change if I can find out how to install the plug-in).

You will be prompted to select 4 or 5 texture images (jpg or png) for BuildingCreator.py and 3 for BuildingCreator2.py

Building
Glass Texture For Window    (BuildingCreator.py only)
Sidewalk (or ground)
Roof
Turned Off Window Image *   (BuildingCreator.py only)

* The turned off window image is only prompted if you use Random Lighting.

Once the plug-in starts, change the number of floors and wall segments per side. There are always 4 sides to a building with this plug-in. Each wall segment consists of two windows:

Windows, Lighting and Random Lighting    (BuildingCreator.py only)

The wall segment for the shack above uses a transparent image for a "Window" glass, so it is a no window, window.

I created jail bars by using this image for a window glass texture, and this created a transparent window for an old timey jail

You can use any window texture you like.

Lighting your window:. Check the box for the 'Add Windows To Glow Channel', and a stength slider will appear to allow you set the glow channel strength.

Random Lighting  (BuildingCreator.py only)
If you choose to turn on the glow channel lighting, you are shown a checkbox for Random Lighting.

This will present you with another slider to allow you select the 'Percent Lights On'.

Move the slider to the left to have less randomly turned on lights, and move it to the right for more.

Limitations
The buildings are not created with doors. I know it is bad, but I created this as a background set creator, but the props are real props and you can go inside the buildings and floors.

Edit: 3.12.2021:
I now add the floors to the base, so a building is created, not just the props for the base.

Building Large Scenes
I noticed when I tried to build a second building, the walls of the first are messed up. To work around this, create your buildings 1 building at a time, and add them as a custom prop in the Content Manager.
I could build a unique naming system, but I want to focus my time on improving more options and different types of buildings.

Building Textures
I found some building textures do not duplicate well, so it is best to use a texture that is similar on the left and right ends.

Let me know if you have any problems.
